The figure is slender and very linear. The Buddha is holding both his hands in front of him showing abhaya mudra, gesture of fearlessness. He is wearing a dhoti with decorative rim in the middle, a simplistic robe hanging down from the shoulders. Except for a necklace he is not adorned with any jewellery. Elongated earlobes frame his slender face with almond-shaped eyes and fine lips, tiny curls cover the head and ushnisha. The Buddha is in the centre of a fiery gate decorated with small flowers. An extension of leaves is attached on the top, possibly showing tendrils of lotus flowers. Two small animals looking like a mouse and a squirrel are standing on the tendril. The back of the statue is flat, the extension is detachable. The whole piece is attached to a square plinth.
