cmWeight: 338 gramsPadmasambhava or Guru Rinpoche sitting on a thrown with floral decoration and beaded rim. He is wearing multi-layered robes and pointy shoes. In his right hand he is holding a vajra, in his left hand a skull cup. Cradled in his left arm is a long staff with elaborate handle called khatvanga, intrinsic for his representation. Details of the khatvanga are easy to make out, among them three heads, dry, fresh and rotten symbolizing the three kayas, dharmakaya, sambhogakaya and nirmanakaya. The top is finished by a trishula. This piece is finely crafted with great detail like the drapery of the robe and jewellery.
