Description A 19th Century Aesthetic Perdio Brownfield & Son "Yeddo" Jug. Molded pitcher done in the Japonesque style with bamboo style handle, textured "orange skin" type ground and gilt cranes amidst clouds at either side covered in a bluish-celadon matte glaze. Raised registry mark at the underside with "Brownsfield & Son Trademark Yeddo.12" along with date codes indicating "29 September 1876"; also includes impress number 9/76 and cipher, purportedly monogram of designer, Christopher Dresser (1834-1904).
