Description A 19th Century Japanese Edo Period Tokkuri. White porcelain Tokkuri with molded bas relief decoration consisting of two panels containing images of Shishi (foo lions) and the other two panels with motifs of dragons and tigers, with glazed flower designs accenting each panel, and scrollwork about the neck and between the panels. Unmarked. Light wear overall, areas of separation and firing cracks noted on each panel. 10 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $800-1,200 Purchased from Christie's auction in October of 1991.
