Description Meissen (German, founded 1710) porcelain. Both are designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler, and feature a maiden playing a violin and another playing a bassoon. Both are stamped with the Meissen mark and model number on the base. The violinist is additionally marked '5' on the base; the bassoonist is additionally marked '45' on the base. Dimensions: 6 inches tall X 3 1/4 inches wide; 15.2 cm tall X 8.3 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report Restoration to bow on violinist. Flower tip on headpiece of bassoonist repaired.
