Description Japy Freres and Cie Cartell (French, 19th Century,) Rococo Revival-style wall clock. The ormolu case features fretwork, 'C' scrolls, rocaille, flowers and a singing bird. The domed, beveled glass face opens to reveal a blue-and-black enamel face with Arabic and Roman numerals and the marking, ‘Domergue Aurillac.’ Movement marked, ‘51630 6 Japy Freres and Cie Med D'Honneur Japy 1867.’ Chimes on the half and full hour.
