Artist Biography: Imero Gobbato (1923-2010) born in Milano, Italy to a prominent textile merchant, studied art in Milan and Venice, he moved to Argentina after WWII and worked as an illustrator, after meeting and marrying his wife during what was supposed to be a brief stop in NY they lived in, CA, FL. and Italy before settling in Camden, Maine in 1965. As well as an illustrator for children's books and a serious artist Imero was a talented naval architect and yacht designer.
