Description A group of 4 Mughall miniature manuscript paintings, all are done in gouache on paper and date from the 15th to the 16th century. The first painting depicts a man with a deer in his lap, the second depicts a man with a deer over his shoulders, the other two depict outdoor court scenes. Dimensions: sight size- 6 7/8 inches tall X 4 1/2 inches wide; 17.5 cm tall X 11.4 cm wide. Frame- 11 5/8 inches tall X 9 5/8 inches wide; 29.5 cm tall X 24.4 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report First painting has two tears in upper edge of page, longest 1 inch long; same painting has an L-shaped tear on the right margin, about 1/2 inch each leg. Court scene paintings have scattered soiling and writing marks which appear to post-date the painting. Not examined out of frame.
