Description Utagawa Hiroshige (Japanese, 1797 - 1858) woodblock prints, 1831-1834. Includes an excerpt from ‘The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido’ depicting the 6th station: Fujisawa, and ‘Evening Rain at Tada Sugawara, Kyoto.’ The ‘Evening Rain’ woodblock print is framed. Dimensions: sight size- 10 inches tall X 14 1/2 inches wide; 25.4 cm tall X 36.8 cm wide. Frame- 14 inches tall X 19 1/4 inches wide; 35.6 cm tall X 48.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report '6th station' shows toning along the edges, a tear in left margin 1/8 inch and spotting in the lower margin. 'Evening Rain' was examined out of the frame, a tear in center lower margin 1 inch, two holes from being glued to backing paper, each average 1/2 inch X 1/2 inch.
