CHINESE THREE-RAILING LUOHAN CHUANG BED.QING DYNASTY.A THREE PIECE SUITE.19th century or earlier, Qing dynasty, China. This nice example in Hongmu or Huanghuali with three railings on three sides, each carved with a dragon. The back railing depicting two opposing dragons centering a Lingzhi all centering a woven hardboard mat seat within rectangular bed frame. The aprons carved with archaic scrolls raised on four stepped square legs terminating in square feet, similarly carved. Measure: 32" overall h x 80" l x 29" d. CONDITION: Structurally very good, retaining original elements. All surfaces have been cleaned of original finish and all patina. Now with mellow brown color, and French polished surfaces.
