Description A group of six Chinese porcelain snuff bottles from the 18th-19th century. The bottles include blue and white and red and blue underglaze. Depicted imagery includes: three figures in a landscape; six fearsome warriors in battle; two red dragons among bats and ruyi clouds; mystical animals with a six character mark on the base; three figures at a village gate; a ribbed snuff bottle with engaged lion heads. Dimensions are: largest snuff bottle measures 3 in tall X 1 1/8 in wide, 7.6 cm tall X 2.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report Minor firing flaws and small chips to the neck.
Provenance From Mr. Kung in Vancouver, Canada, inherited from his father, who acquired this item in Hong Kong and had it shipped to Canada before the 1970s. Lots 194-198 from our auction on Sept 6th, 2019 were from the same estate.
