Description: The Buddha sitting in meditation (padmasana). His face showsA mild expression, the noseAbove the full lips is extended into the browArches. The eyesAre narrowAnd elegantly shaped, the earlobesAre elongated by heavy jewellery. The hair is formedAs large bumpsAlso covering the highlyArched Ushnisha. In the hairA rectangular elevation is emphasized each in frontAnd in the back, which may have been once decorated. Both handsAre lost, the right hand was probably placed in the lap, the left hand raised. On the backA large rectangular cavity, which surely once served to receive the holy objects placed during the consecration of the Buddha.
At the shoulders it becomes clear that two separate pieces of wood have been used for theArms,As wellAs for the front part of the legs. On the outside of theArmsAnd legs fixing holes for scarf bands formerlyAttached to the statue. Measurement: Height 121cm, width 81cm, depth 58cm. Condition B/C. Lacquer nearly completely lost, both hands not preserved.
