Impressionist depiction of four nymphs in a shallow body of water, one putting on a show dancing with a water stream. Nettleton went to Europe and enrolled in the Academie Julian in Paris and studied under Gustav Boulanger and Jules-Joseph Lefebvre and later studied with Emile Carolus Duran before returning to America where he became a member of the Art Students League.
