NATURAL WOOD BOX CARVED
Probable North Indian work, Early 20th century
Quadragular it opens a lid held by hinges and is adorned with a carved decoration of geometric friezes, dragons, characters SHOU / Longevity, and a monogram "RE" at the top of a crown and underlined with a philatelic "QUO FAS ET GLORIA DU CUNT".
Noteworthy detail, the lid is also carved with dragons and SHOU character.
The lock system is marked "HANI RAM & SONS GERMAN MARK".
