Description Harry Sefarbi (UNITED STATES / PENNSYLVANIA, 1917 - 2009) abstract impressionism oil painting on masonite board depicting a mother and child titled "Big Mama". No apparent signature. Circa 1960's. Mounted inoriginal gallery wooden frame. Board measures approx. 14 3/8" height x 15 3/4" width (36.5cm x 40cm). Measures approx. 23 3/4" height x 24 3/4" width (60.3cm x 62.9cm) overall including frame. Provenance:acquired from Dennis Hornstein, nephew of Harry Sefarbi. Includes original receipt from Friend's Neighborhood Guild, Philadelphia showing a purchase price of $150.00 plus tax and a sale date of April27th, 1964.
