Attributed to Joseph Hickel (*1736 ?eská Lípa; ?1807 Vienna). Oil on canvas. The portraits painted as counterparts. Charles Theodore of Bavaria portrayed with marshal's baton, crown, ermine cape and Order of St Hubert, and his consort Marie Elisabeth Elisabeth Auguste of Sulzbach likewise with her royal attributes like the crown and ermine, together with opulent jewellery. Re-lined. Restored. In an elaborate, partially gilt frame of later date.
