On a square, partially ebonised wooden pedestal, with a slightly overhanging edge. The three-dimensional sculpture of a dwarf in the typical costume of a court jester, finely carved in ivory, with a tortoiseshell veneer. Holding a sceptre of red coral in his right hand, wearing a fool's cap with cockerel on his head. Given its age, in very good condition. The pedestal restored. Dimensions 17.3 x 7.3 x 7.3 cm.
