AN IMPORTANT PAIR OF ORMOLU CANDELABRA, AFTER THOMAS HOPE Four-lights, after a drawing publiched by Thomas Hope (1769-1831), possibly made by the "bronzier" Lefèvre (Paris). France or England, ca. 1802. Gilt bronze, profuse chiselled work, arms shaped like dragons and Classical figures, top with clouds.
