A Chinese finely-carved cinnabar lacquer "Peach" box

The cover carved with a peach-shaped reserve depicting a sage beneath a tree, set in a landscape, against three diaper grounds representing air, water, and land; framed by a garland of peony blooms borne on leafy branches, the sides with alternating pairs of wan-diaper carved peaches, bats, and florets; the interior and base with glossy black lacquer.
