A Japanese embellished filigree silver and gold lacquer dish

Inlaid panels of birds amongst sprays of peonies, wisteria and flowering branches, alternating with enamel floral panels; the central roundel with a cockerel perched in a tree above a hen, within silver filigree petal-shaped panels, the undersides of the panels in nashiji lacquer, inset plaque inscribed Masatomo, raised on three filigree supports.
