A GE-TYPE GLAZED CONG VASE, in archaistic form, moulded in shallow relief with trigrams below the thick pale grey glaze with dark grey and brown crackles throughout, 19th century, height c. 19.5 cmPROVENANCE:From the summer atelier of the professor and painter Otte Sk?ld, at Bergsj?-N?set, V?rmland, Sweden. The artist was born in China 1894 since his mother and father were foreign missionaries. The items in the atelier were probably purchased by his parents Johan and Eva Sk?ld at the end of the 19th century. Otte Sk?ld came to Sweden 1907 and died 1958 in Stockholm.
