A PAIR OF ARMORIAL PLATES AND A DISH, decorated with the coat of arms of Vult von Steijern, the shield painted with a stork holding a snake, crossed laurel and palm branches, two silver stars and a moon, crowned with a golden lion holding the caduceus entwined by two serpents, surmounted by wings, Qianlong period (1736-1795), c. 1743, the plates possibly manufactured later in Europe, diameter c. 23.5 and 38.5 cmNOTE:Most likely commissioned by Johan Julius Vult, knighted Vult von Steijern (1695-1767) in 1743.
