Of globular form, vibrantly enamelled in the Dayazhai manner, the box with branches of wisteria and pink roses in vibrant enamels, reserved on a turquoise ground, the cover similarly decorated, the branch from the box continuing on to the domed cover, a songbird resting on one of the branches and with an incised Da Ya Zhai (studio of Great Elegance) horizontal mark and inscribed oval panel, the interior and base glazed white, the latter with a six-character mark in iron red.
