Six early copies of The Dandy Comic, including (i) number 44 October 1st 1938, rare early comic in worn condition but complete. Some small tears have been repaired with clear tape on the opposing side (see images). A small portion of front cover is missing, small tears to the page extremities, overall good+. (ii) number 45 September 7th 1940, again with some small tears to front cover with clear tape on the opposing side (see images), overall good +. (iii) number 158 December 7th 1940, cover is a bit dirty to lower edge and clear tape repair on inner, lower and outer extremities (see images), good to very good. (iv) number 167 Feb 8th 1941 small tears but overall very good. (v) number 180 May 10th 1941 portion of lower corner of front cover is missing, overall good-to very good. (vi) number 250 October 2nd 1943, some repair to small tears with clear tape, small tears to page extremities, special 250th edition number.
Note: Comics of this age are quite scarce and fragile, due to wartime paper rationing. During this time Dandy and Beano were published alternate weeks by D.C Thompson and most contain propaganda stories.
