Werner Laurie Show Book base upon an incident in Enid Blyton's Rubbalong Tales (Shuffle the Shoemaker). Circa 1950 Series A Number 1 devised by Jack S. Chambers a pull-out concertina effect book, that had to be self-assembled with scissors and glue to create a 3D scene reminiscent of a Victorian peep-show. Six scenes plus the show curtain in card covers. The curtain has a small tear, no loss, the rest of the book is in remarkably good condition - it has been assembled with care and remains clean and bright with no tears.
