CHINESE SILVER EXPORT BASKET BY KWONG MAN SHING
Active Hong Kong or Canton / Guangzhou, End of the Qing Dynasty, circa 1900
Made of silver, circular and with a floral lip, it rests on a ring-shaped heel. Decorated on its outside with the embellishment of little boys playing in the garden, wise men playing weiqi and a Taoist sage perched on his mule. Goldsmith's mark underneath: KMS. Also, punch "swan" (slight deformations).
