A 19th century rosewood mantel clock, the octagonal upper section enclosing enamelled dial set with Roman numerals (af) and movement signed 'C. Duncan London', no. 306 (now loose), with turned finial, mother of pearl inlay and carved detail above further brass and ebony inlay to lower section, 51 x 35 x 16cm (af).Additional InformationThe dial and movement are now loose, the dial badly damaged with extensive loss to the enamelling. Obviously not tested, no guarantee of working order. There is a large chip to the reverse lower section of the finial, further chip to the carved detail. Damage and loss to the handles or items attached to the sides of the octagonal upper section. There is significant loss to the inlay throughout, further splits and heavy knocks, scuffs and scrapes throughout and generally in need of extensive attention and restoration.
