A BROWN-GLAZED JAR
Southern China, Yuan/ Ming dynasty

Globular body, short cylindrical neck and lipped rim, four small applied handles on the shoulder, the lower parte of the body unglazed.
Provenance: the collection of a Dutch noblewoman lived in Indonesia, acquired before 1975.
A very similar but smaller jar is in the Freer Gallery of Art, Washington (inv. n. S2010.1).
