A Chinese Christian sandalwood carved frame for a triptych, 18th Century, in the form of a triple temple doorway, very finely carved with religious figures, cherubs and figures ascending, flanked by two winged dragons, 31 x 21cms, in later red velvet backed glazed frame. The back bears a hand written label 'The British Museum considers that this carving was by a Christian Chinese working probably in Macao, early 18th Century'.
