Western Jin DynastyThe horse standing four square on a rectangular base, wearing full body armour, painted in red pigment to simulate chain mail, a protruding lock of hair extending from its forehead, the soldier wearing a tall helmet and armoured robes, a quiver of arrows slung at his right side and a further quiver suspended beside his left leg, decorated in red, black and white pigments.41.2cm (16.1/4in) high.
