A pair of round Chinese jade pierced plaques dating from the 18th to the 19th century. The white jade plaque depicts double happiness characters with a pair of beasts; the other plaque depicts 4 boys and a bat among tracery. Dimensions: 1/8 inch tall X 2 1/4 inches diameter; .3 cm tall X 5.7 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report Both are in good condition.
Provenance From Mrs. Hillebrand in Chicago. Her father-in-law purchased these items in China and Hong Kong between 1935 and 1970. Lot 79-90 from our March 14, 2019 auction were from the same collection.
