A circular Chinese white jade plaque with a zitan wood stand and dating from the 18th century. The front of the plaque features an old man and a boy in a landscape, the reverse features a bird with flowers and rocks. The stand is intricately carved. Dimensions of the plaque: 6 inches diameter; 15.2 cm diameter. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report It is in good condition. Parts of the zitan stand are loose.
Literature A similar white jade round screen with a wooden stand sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong as Lot 3042 on October 8, 2013. Another 18th century white jade round screen sold as Lot 3006 at Christie's Hong Kong on December 1, 2010.
