A Chinese famille rose rotating vase depicting a 10,000 year calendar dating from the Qianlong period. There is a 6-character mark on the bottom, and the vase features 2 yellow ground rotating barrels with lotus tracery. Dimensions: 12 1/2 inches tall X 5 1/2 inches wide, 31.8 cm tall X 14 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report Significant breakage and repairs to the neck of the vase and 1 repair to the bottom.
Literature A famille rose rotating vase with a Qianlong mark is in the collection of the National Palace Museum, Taipei, accession number 013531-N000000000 (fig. 1).
Provenance From Mr. Loh in Los Angeles, California; a family heirloom. This collection was acquired in Singapore by Mr. Loh's family over 65 years ago. It was shipped to the US following the death of Mr. Loh's mother.
