A set of 4 lacquer panels with precious stone insets, dating from the 17th to the 18th century. The insets depict scenes of birds on flowering branches; the border features flowers with vine tracery. The reverse features painted flowers. Dimensions: 67 1/2 inches tall X 16 inches wide; 171.5 cm tall X 40.6 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.

Provenance From Mrs. Przecha in Southern California, by descent; acquired by Mrs. Przecha's step-father, a military doctor, while stationed in Tianjin during the 1920s.
