A Chinese famille rose vase dating from the Republic period. The vase features magenta ground with lotus tracery on the neck and foot, the body features a scene with 15 children playing. The vase has beast handles and a 6-character mark on the bottom. Dimensions: 14 inches tall X 7 1/2 inches wide; 35.6 cm tall X 19.1 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report Extensive repairs; cracks; and chips to the mouth and neck.
Provenance From Mrs. Przecha in Southern California, by descent; acquired by Mrs. Przecha's step-father, a military doctor, while stationed in Tianjin during the 1920s.
