十九世紀 褐漆嵌百寶博古圖掛屏All the plants and fruits in this panel are filled with auspicious symbolism related to longevity, good fortune and progeny. Such inlaid panels were popular decorations in halls in the Forbidden City. An example in the Suian Shi (Chamber of Pursuing Tranquillity) is illustrated in Classics of Forbidden City: Life in the Forbidden City of Qing Dynasty, Beijing, 2007, p.115, pl.175.
