A Meissen B?ttger stoneware black-glazed coffee pot and cover, circa 1710-19
Of square section baluster form with a scroll handle and curved spout and moulded on each side with flowering branches, covered inside and out in a black iridescent glaze, each side wheel-cut exposing the red stonware body with a crowned oval cartouche flanked by scrollwork and and foliage, the cover attached to the handle by a chain, 16cm high (later silver replacement finial, small chip to footrim)
