Zoll tief, 10 1/2. Zoll in Diam: No. 65. 1. St. different nur 29 (thirty white round bowls, painted inside with flowers, 2 Zoll deep, 10 1/2 Zoll diam. No. 65. 1 different only 29)' (quoted by C. Boltz Japanisches Palais-Inventar 1770 und Turmzimmer-Inventar 1769, in Keramos 153 (1996), p. 74). This dish was among "63 gro?e und kleine Confect-Schalen" made for the Paris merchant, Lemaire, that were found in Count Hoym's palace in April 1731, confiscated and removed to the Japanese Palace. This decor appears to have been only produced for Lemaire: only five other examples of various sizes are recorded in the literature, including two in the Dr. Ernst Schneider Collection in Munich, one in the National Museum in Stockholm, one in the Ariana Museum in Geneva and one in a private collection (Weber, p. 157).
