The first delivery of Meissen figures to the Saxon court pantry (Hofkonditorei) in 1744 included 56 obelisks; see M. Cassidy-Geiger, Von Zucker und Silber zum Porzellan: Die Konditorei und die ?ffentliche Tafel in Dresden unter August III., in Keramos 198 (2007), p. 32. The 1753 inventory of porcelain in Count Brühl's pantry also records numerous 'pyramids' on pedestals (published in U. Pietsch (ed.), Schwanenservice (2000), p. 234).
