Chinese copper red glaze vase, Qing Dynasty. The pear shaped body rising from splayed foot to waisted neck and flared rim, covered with rich red glaze, interior and underside glazed white, base bearing six character reign mark with drilled hole. Height: 11 1/2 in (29.0 cm) Width: 7 1/8 in (18.0 cm) Provenance: From the Estate of Late Mr. David Wong, San Francisco. Mr. David Wong was an accomplished civil engineer by training and worked in public sector from 1960s to 1990s. An avid collector of Chinese ceramics, jades, and wood carvings, he acquired most pieces in California and Asia prior to 2000s.
