Chinese blue and white 'dragon and phoenix' vase, Qing Dynasty period. The form of the vase is modelled after archaic bronze vessel, hu. The front and back body elaborately painted with five clawed dragon chasing flaming pearl among clouds. The sides further decorated with phoenix with clouds. The waisted neck painted with an auspicious bat below band of ruyi lappets around mouth rim, flanked by pair of handles in form of the ears of mythical bird.
