Fine Chinese yellow jade vase group, 18th c. Qing Dynasty, worked in the form of two carps jumping out of the waves on both sides flanking the vase, the fins and scales finely detailed, the flattened vase with waisted neck flanked by pair of openwork handles, the cover topped with a foo dog finial. Height: 4 3/8 in (10.8 cm) Provenance: From the Estate of Late Mr. David Wong, San Francisco. Mr. David Wong was an accomplished civil engineer by training and worked in public sector from 1960s to 1990s. An avid collector of Chinese ceramics, jades, and wood carvings, he acquired most pieces in California and Asia prior to 2000s.
