Bernard Keyes studied at the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts and Harvard University's Fogg Art Museum School. At the Fogg, Keyes was awarded the Paige traveling scholarship for 1921-1922. Upon his return to the States, Keyes took up a teaching position at the MFA, and shifted his style from figurative Impressionism to sporting images. Keyes works are in numerous New England collections including the Fogg Art Museum, Cambridge, MA; Mt. Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA; the Holyoke Library, MA; Tufts University, Medford, MA; and Brown University, Providence, RI.
