A limestone cylinder seal with intaglio frieze depicting pairs of rearing lions attacking a horned man with rearing ibexes between, glyphs between, partly drilled; accompanied by a museum-quality impression. 36 grams, 38mm (1 1/2"). From the family collection of a Hampstead gentleman; formerly acquired in the 1980s. Very fine condition.
