A carved schist statuette of Buddha standing on a dais wearing a simple loose robe, nimbus and ushnisha to the head, left hand gripping a fold of the cloth robe, rectangular dais with Buddha and supporters to the frontal panel. 11.4 kg, 56cm (22"). Property of a Middlesex collector; acquired on the London art market before 2000; formerly in an old English collection. Fine condition.
