(18 cm.) high; Please note this lot is the property of a private individual."The finger citron is otherwise known as 'Buddha's Hand' and represents dhyana mudra, the position of Buddha's hand in meditation. In a non-Buddhist context, the Chinese word for finger citron also provides a homophone for happiness and longevity. One can therefore contemplate a long and happy life while appreciating the current carving.
