A carved schist figure of Garuda in bird form with wings partly spread and garland in the beak supporting Arya Tara in advancing pose with a claw to her waist; mounted on a custom-made stand. 8.3 kg, 46cm including stand (18"). From a private UK collection, acquired on the London art market 1990-2000.
