Three-Piece French Gilt-Bronze-Mounted Porcelain Garniture Set
mid-19th century, in the Rococo Revival taste, comprised of a covered urn with griffin-form handles and supported by dolphins on a rococo base, the cover with a dolphin knop and the body with a hippocampus mount, h. 20-1/2", w. 8-1/4", d. 4-1/2", together with a pair of ewers, each with a swan-form handle and matching rococo base, and the body with a seahorse mount, h. 13-1/4", w. 5-1/2", d. 3-1/2".

Condition Report **In overall very good condition. The "set" is not exactly matching; the pair of ewers have been reglazed with a two-toned phthalo green/umber glaze, whereas the covered urn is a two-toned phthalo green/cobalt glaze. All three center bronze mounts (hippocampus and seahorses are affixed by "sticky" tape. There is an ~1/4" overglazed crack to vase shoulder on one ewer just under the bronze mount. All three examples appear to have been regilded.
