Three French "Uncle Tom's Cabin" Porcelain Fan Vases mid-19th century, Limoges, including a pair of gold and white vases with biscuit figures, the upper portions with scattered hand-painted roses, h. 11", w. 8-1/2", d. 5", and a tinted biscuit example, probably from the same mold, depicting Little Eva hanging flowers around Uncle Tom, h. 11-1/2", w. 8-1/2", d. 5-1/2". Provenance: The Estate of Frank Fasullo, New Orleans, Louisiana. Notes: Similar examples are illustrated in "Fragile Lessons: Ceramic and Porcelain Representations of Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Jill Fenichell, in Ceramics in America, 2006, edited by Robert Hunter. Condition Report **Each gold and white example with some professional restoration to the back and some rubbing to the gilt. The polychrome example with restoration to the center front top leaf tip and right lower leaf tip. Provenance The Estate of Frank Fasullo, New Orleans, Louisiana.
