Description Classical World, Etruria, ca. 5th century BCE. A wheel-thrown redware pottery olla of a slightly compressed spherical form with a round but stable base, a sloped shoulder, a gentle groove around the neck base, and a thick rim surrounding the cavernous basin. The exterior surfaces bear evidence of red-orange pigment characteristic of fine Etruscan pottery. Size: 8" W x 5.6" H (20.3 cm x 14.2 cm)

Condition Report Minor abrasions to body and rim, with fading to pigment in scattered areas, and light encrustations within body, otherwise intact and very good. Great root marks within body and nice pigment remains throughout.
